haylo (Hayleigh Downey) , 22 and is from Portsmouth, Ohio. She got her start in theatre with PAAC (Portsmouth Area Arts Council) at the age of 9. Throughout her years of theatre she has attended many different broadway workshops ranging from Disney, Playbill, JTF. In 2019 haylo (Hayleigh Downey) landed herself on NBC’s The Voice and continued to drive herself into the music industry. In 2020 she branched off into her own solo artist career naming herself “haylo” “The reason I named myself haylo was because ever since a child I have loved the idea of space and my favorite planet is saturn, and i’ll be honest haylo was easier than my 8 lettered name.” haylo stated. In late 2020 haylo released her first ever single named “pity party” and submitted it to sound-cloud as she wrote it with friends. “pity party was never supposed to be a real serious song, it was more of an ode to Melanie Martinez’s pity party but instead another person playing the victim, it was all fun.” she added. In early 2022 haylo signed with 9 Lives Records ( The Orchard, Sony) haylo has made many songs and worked with many different artists throughout the industry. Early 2022 she began writing beautiful chaos her current album and completed it within 6 months. “ I had already had it in my head I wanted to create a song called “ beautiful chaos” just because it described what i was going through at the time, it was about ending cycles and mirroring the effects and emotions of coming out of a place where you really didn’t know who you were. I think with this album it shows the emotions of a chaos but also it’s beautiful and damning at the same time. I really just want people to be able to relate and enjoy.”
