Since 2008, DERAILED has left their footprints on a familiar path in American rock. Twenty-somethings garage band. A couple of pauses. A few line-up changes. Grinding through long sets to become a local bar favorite. Releasing their first album in 2010. Opening for a wide range of artists, from Bobaflex and Pop Evil to Bobby Bare. The band jokes that the current line-up has over 125 years experience making lead singers look good. A collaborative approach was applied to the current album “Know My Pain”. “In the early days, one person would write the entire lyric or all the riffs and leads”, says founder Mark Mains. “Now more time is spent as a band collaborating with everyone contributing to the songs. I believe this has pushed our song writing and musicianship to a higher level.” The self-recorded, self-produced newest release is a tight set of driving, riff-based hard rock with tasty hints of the band’s metal, classic rock, punk, and hard-core country influences.
